INCLUSION MINISTRY
Accept!
We believe that all people are created in God’s image. We reflect God’s love and grace by accepting people just as they are. People with disabilities hold a special place in our congregation which offers love to everyone.
Include!!
Inclusion is practiced in all of FCC’s programs which include:
- Children’s and Youth Ministries
- Music Ministries
- Worship participation and leadership
- Children’s Learning Center
- Adult Ministries
- Community events
- Parent Connect Dinner for special needs parents
We make modifications so that people with disabilities are welcomed, included, and invited to participate in church activities.
FCC is committed to people with disabilities and houses:
SHARE - Special Needs Family Support
Children’s Learning Center - Pre-school with inclusion classes
Faith Inclusion Network - Supporting people with disABILITIES in Faith Communities.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We want to care for you:
We create a care team of people from the congregation who will care and advocate for you and your family. This team may consist of ministers or people from the congregation who know you.
We want to know you:
We will meet with parents or adults, talk about the person with a disability, and learn about strengths and weaknesses through a Getting to Know You form. We will talk about health, medical, and behavioral considerations and discuss modifications that are needed.
We want to serve you:
Every person, including those with disabilities, has spiritual needs. These needs include worship, education, fellowship, and service Together we will develop an Inclusion Action Plan in which our church lists the modifications we which will facilitate inclusion. We will also develop an Individual Spiritual Formation Plan which lists all of the accommodations that are needed to successfully include those with disabilities.
We want you to belong:
Our goal is to offer the gift of belonging to those who experience disability. It is grounded in our belief that everyone belongs to God and a faith family of individuals ready to love, accept, support, and celebrate God’s people who have disabilities.

We take time to know people and discover their strengths, interests, and gifts that God has blessed them with. We encourage people to use these gifts and express themselves in our congregation so that God’s presence can shine in their lives.
